Phillip Island is a 1 1/4 hour drive to San Remo before crossing bridge to Phillip Island.
One can take the scenic drive between Inverloch and Wonthaggi. The Penguin Parade begins just after dusk.
A Day Trip taking in Port Albert, Tarraville and Tarra Bulga Park. Tarra Bulga National Park is an hour’s drive. From Foster to Port Albert is a 40 minute drive.
- Wilsons Prom, 20 min drive to gate, 45 mins to Tidal River:
- A Falls/Port Welshpool – 20 min drive. A Day Trip including Port Franklin Fishing Village,Port Franklin Fishing Village, a 10 min. drive from FosterToora Wind Towers, Agnes Fall and Port Welshpool is most interesting. Agnes Falls being a 35 min. (?) drive whilst Port Franklin is 15 minutes away. Port Welshpool fishing village is 30 minutes away where you can throw a line from the jetty or go for a swim on the beach.
- Historic Walkerville Lime Kilns, Bayside Drive at Walkerville South is a 48 minute drive from Foster whilst Bear Gully Road, Tarwin Lower which takes you past Cape Liptrap National Park is a 50 min. drive via Fish Creek. There is a free camping ground at Bear Gully.
